    Communication activities

Year 2023 was quite silent as to communication activities. PREPARE was involved in the SHERPA Horizon project and informed its members at the General Assembly. In the new Horizon Europe projects Granular and Futural some dissemination activities were implemented according to project lead guidelines. The European Rural Parliament did not happen in 2023, but preparations are on-going for the next ERP-event. Newsletters on the website provide an insight in the main activities. PREPARE is part of the Rural Pact Coordination Group.

PREPARE became partner in three Horizon projects during 2022 and 2023 namely FUTURAL, GRANULAR and RURBANIVE. Planned activities did not however start before the end of 2023, where also a new Secretary General Miodrag Matavulj was hired. More people will be hired during 2024 to fulfill project activities and obligations. The overall funding is about 415 000€ divided to the years 2023-2026. Most of the activities start in 2024. Part of the Pre-payments were though done already in 2023. PREPARE is actively looking for other project opportunities.
