Other financial info
Our interaction with EU as an institution is limited to our participation on behalf of the industry in the global climate negotiations where the EU is a major player. We spend virtually no time on EU policies per se, as that is the prime objective of our member organisation, the European Wind Energy Association. However, our input is relevant for the purposes of this consultation on the post-2012 climate regime.

Communication activities
The EU Delegation to India, in close cooperation with the Indian Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, has awarded a grant to a GWEC led consortium under the Indo-European Cooperation on Renewable Energy programme.
The FOWIND project seeks to facilitate India’s transition towards low carbon development by supporting implementation of national policies and programmes for offshore wind.
FOWIND is a four-year project to develop a roadmap for offshore wind development in India, with a focus on the states of Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. Its output will be supported by preliminary resource assessments to identify potential areas for offshore development along the coasts of the States of Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.Other activities
Publishing reports on the industry, its performance and future prospects and disseminating this information widely;
Speaking engagements and participation in conferences globally, which sometimes includes the European Commission and/or EU member states, but the primary responsibility for that lies with the European Wind energy Association
Educating international institutions on behalf of the industry is our main activity, none of which specifically target the EU but the EU is involved in virtually all of them.- Meetings
