The Hydro Equipment Association has recently produced a Technology Roadmap on Hydro Equipment to raise awareness of the innovation challenge of the sector. This Roadmap is closely linked to the future EU strategy regarding Energy Technologies and the Research and Development funding programme. Therefore, HEA has been following closely all the developments in this field, as the public consultation of the Communication on Energy Technologies or the discussions by the European Parliament and the Council on Horizon 2020.
Being Hydropower part of the Renewable Energy family, HEA has shown a special interest for the different EU initiatives in this framework, as the European Parliament report on Current challenges and opportunities for renewable energy on the European energy market, or the debate for the strategy to follow ahead the 2020 targets.
HEA has been recently accepted to participate as an observer in the Strategic Co-ordination Group (SCG) for the implementation of the Water Framework Directive under the Common Implementation Strategy (CIS).- Meetings

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.
1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
