    Goals / Remit

    The Association is founded with the purpose of acting for the common good through the promotion and protection of human rights of users of healthcare services - patients, ie for the purpose of achieving the following goals:
    • preventing discrimination against patients on any basis;
    • informing the public about the patients' rights and how they are used in our country and in the world;
    • providing assistance to citizens in the exercise of their rights as patients;
    • collecting individual observations about the poorly defined relationships between those who provide, those who provide, those who provide, and those who seek health care;
    • adopting proposals for legal presumptions that would determine patients' rights, in accordance with the positive regulations of the Republic of Croatia.

    We are included in the work of the European health parliament, and also for European
    the patient day we are a representative association to representing this important meeting at
    parliament every year.
    Also, we are in collaboration and hosted with Croatian MEP members, and our partners
    Italian MEP members.

    The main EU legislative of the Croatian Association of the promotion of patient rights is to bring awareness about health policy and law including cross-border healthcare.
