Goals / Remit
As Institution, WONUC Activities are oriented and centralized in the defence of the rights of professionals and employees of the nuclear industry and science, academia and civil society in Europe and all over the World: - Promoting the European Principals and Objectives in these domains; - Promoting the European Industry of peaceful applications of nuclear energy, as well as the related non-proliferating technologies; - Generating and development relations between organizations and institutions, academia and civil society; and - Organizing and participating in most of the nuclear-related projects, events and debates contributing to the enhancement of scientific knowledge.
WONUC's Main Objectives are the Promotion and Defense of the Fundamental Values of the European Union in Nuclear Energy. The promotion, communication and dissemination of the basic concepts for the peaceful applications of nuclear energy; and the therapeutic use of atomic energy sources.Main EU files targeted
Concerning Articles 3 and 4 of the 2021 Agreement, we would like to let you know the facts that:
- WONUC, as Institution, organize bi-annual conferences (“The Atoms for Peace Conferences”, "The Atoms for Peace Prizes", "The Marie Curie Prizes", and others), promoting and communicating the principle of the peaceful uses of nuclear energy, as well as effectively and efficiently promoting the European nuclear technologies and tools, all over the World.
- WONUC Staff participates in related nuclear professional associations and trade unions’ meetings, conferences, events, … etc. organized by the nuclear-related EU Institutions and others, including the EC Public Consultations; WONUC Staff met with EU Officials, mainly in the European Parliament Plenary Sessions; and WONUC Staff is also trying to be considered members of related EC Expert Groups.Address
