Fortescue Metals Group Ltd (Fortescue) is a global leader in the iron ore industry, recognised for its culture, innovation and industry-leading development of world class infrastructure and mining assets.
Fortescue's wholly-owned subsidiary Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) is leading the global energy transition by developing a portfolio of renewable energy and green hydrogen projects. Our large scale, low-cost hydropower, geothermal, solar and wind assets will support establishment of green energy and green product industries around the world. FFI is committed to building thriving communities by delivering social, environmental and economic benefits.Main EU files targeted
Fortescue Metals Group Ltd aligns with EU's proposals and policies, most notably with regard to climate neutrality and economic growth.
We are seeking to inform senior policy makers of key developments within Fortescue Metals Group (and specifically the creation of a new subsidiary – Fortescue Future Industries Pty Ltd – which will focus on global green hydrogen production at scale). It is critical that policy and decision makers are informed of our plans and hard commitments as the size and scale of the green fuels that we will deliver to Europe is such that it will be a game changer, altering significantly the current expectations, and as a result, current plans for development of important energy infrastructure. Our message is intended to provide comfort to EU policy makers that industry has a concrete actionable plan to meet their revised, and more ambitious, climate targets in 2030 and beyond.Address
