    Goals / Remit

With 50 years of experience, Enagás is an international leader in the development, operation and maintenance of energy infrastructures. It carries out its activities in seven countries. Enagás is certified as an independent TSO by the European Union, and it is the technical manager of the system in Spain.

Enagás has around +12,000 Km of high-pressure gas pipelines, three underground storage facilities and four liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification plants. It also owns 50% and 72.5%, respectively, of two additional Spanish regasification terminals.

Enagás is deeply committed to the energy transition. It boosts and develops national and international projects to contribute to the decarbonisation process, such as renewable gases (hydrogen and biomethane), energy efficiency, gas in maritime transport, etc. Enagás is leader in ESG. Since December 2023, a Royal Decree appoints Enagás as provisional manager of the Spanish hydrogen backbone.

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.

1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
