The realization of human rights, in particular environmental and worker rights, in global supply chains
Main EU files targeted
We are beginning to prepare to undertake activities on environmental, occupational, and corporate responsibility related legislation and policies at the European Union level. Policy initiatives and strategies such as the Chemical Strategy for Sustainability, the Circular Economy and the Green New Deal will be areas of focus. Primary area of intended activity will be chemical and waste legislation, such as REACH, PPPR, Biocides, CLP and WEEE/RoHS, among others. In addition, we are preparing to undertake activities on fundamental rights, supply chains and value chains, and associated transboundary or extraterritorial implications. These include for example the EU's Non-Financial Reporting Directive and proposed legislation on human rights and environmental due diligence.
