Other financial info
Covestro was formed as a legally and economically independent subsidiary of Bayer AG on 1 September 2015, and was later floated on the stock market by Bayer AG on 6 October 2015. Until 31 August 2015 included, Covestro was called Bayer MaterialScience, and was a Bayer Group company. Therefore, it is likely the financial information submitted to the Transparency Register for Covestro for 2015 is to an extent double counted with the Bayer AG registration (identification number 3523776801-85).
Covestro is member of several trade associations, independently listed in the Transparency Register. Fees paid to these trade associations are used for a wide range of activities, including the representation of industry interests. Based on the amounts which the trade associations attributed to EU interest representation, Covestro has added these part of its membership fees to the total estimate of annual cost related to activities covered by the TR. These fees are also being reported as part of the annual costs of the trade associations themselves, thus effectively resulting in double reporting. -
