    Goals / Remit

    AECM has currently 46 member organizations operating in 31 countries in Europe. Its members have in common the mission of providing loan guarantees for SMEs who have an economically sound project but cannot provide sufficient bankable collateral. In 2021, AECM member organizations had a total guarantee volume in portfolio of 312 bn. EUR and supported 6 million SMEs.

    The association has the task to defend the interests of its members most of all at European level, to facilitate the exchange of best practices, and to make the guarantee instrument better known.
