    Goals / Remit

    The Future Society is a non-profit 501(c)(3) whose mission is to align AI through better governance.

    We develop, advocate for, and facilitate the implementation of AI governance mechanisms, ranging from laws and regulations to voluntary frameworks such as global principles, norms, standards, and corporate policies. As of 2023, we are focusing on the research and development of advanced AI systems, where robust safeguards will be necessary for ensuring that AI systems are safe and adhere to fundamental human values.
