    Die VG Bild-Kunst vertritt als deutsche Verwertungsgesellschaft über 65.000 Rechteinhaber, meist Urheberinnen und Urheber, aus dem visuellen Bereich (Bildende Kunst, Fotografie und Design sowie Film). Sie nimmt vor allem gesetzliche Vergütungsansprüche wahr, ist jedoch im Bereich der Bildenden Kunst auch in der Erstrechteverwertung tätig.
    Die VG Bild-Kunst ist ein wirtschaftlicher Verein und vertritt die Interessen ihrer Mitglieder im Bereich des Urheberrechts.
