Der 2011 gegründete Prepaid Verband Deutschland (PVD) e. V. ist eine Branchenvereinigung und Interessenvertretung der in Deutschland tätigen Prepaid-Industrie. Dazu gehören zum Beispiel Anbieter von Prepaid-Zahlungsmitteln (wie Banken und E-Geld-Institute), Processingunternehmen, Handelsunternehmen, die Gutscheinkarten herausgeben, Wallet-Anbieter, Kartenorganisationen, Anbieter von Loyalty-Systemen und Distributoren der Prepaid-Zahlungsprodukte im Handel.
Der Verband vertritt durch aktive Weiterentwicklung des Prepaid-Marktes die Interessen seiner Mitglieder, ist Ansprechpartner für Politik, Behörden sowie die Öffentlichkeit. Weiter ist er Herausgeber des halbjährlich erscheinenden Magazins „PVD News“ und veranstaltet den jährlich stattfindenden Prepaid Kongress in Berlin.Main EU files targeted
