    1. TO ADVANCE THE ALEVI FAITH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATEMENT OF BELIEFS SET OUT THE ANNEX ATTACHED (THE ALEVI BOOKLET).

    Main EU files targeted

    The European Alevi Union seek to promote Alevi issues in regional Parliaments, engage with the community in Europe and elsewhere, as well as work with Alevis to help ensure that their legitimate, socio-political aspirations are recognised.

    We work very closely with government and non government organisation to establish stability with the Alevi community and help the community integrate into the bigger society to enable engagement in social, economic and political platforms so that the greater good is achieved.

    Our organisation currently follows policies and legislative files in relation to Human Rights and equality, in relation to:

    1- Public policies and papers combating discrimination on the grounds of religion or belief.

    2- Papers and policies from the External relations and foreign affairs council with regard to EU relations with Turkey. In particular the recognition of Alevism.


    3- Culture in External Relations at the European Parliament in particular, final report and a series of country reports.


    4- Policy and working papers by European Network of legal experts in gender equality and non-discrimination.

    5- European Network of Equality Bodies.



    Our organisation activities with European Parliament have been based on:

    • Exchange information and cover constantly the Turkish regime’s human right violations in articles and publications, on the Internet (websites, Facebook, You Tube films) and broadcasted programmes on satellite YOL TV in order to:

    - provide the people inside Turkey of factual and uncensored information about what is happening inside and outside the borders of Turkey;
    - inform, outside of Turkey, the members of European and national Parliaments and governments, European and American society, press, and human rights organizations such as Amnesty International - All human rights for all in Turkey, Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW), Human Rights Without Frontiers International (HRWF) etc.

    Through our activities we are constantly trying to:

    Raise awareness on Human Rights violations in Turkey and what happens when an extremist ideology takes control of a society.

    Through holding regular street demonstrations to raise awareness of Human Rights issues.
