    Goals / Remit

    ERTICO – ITS Europe was founded at the initiative of leading members of the European Commission, Ministries of Transport and the European Industry.

    ERTICO is a public/private association specialised in Intelligent Transport Systems and Services stakeholders in Europe. We connect public authorities, industry players, infrastructure operators, users, national ITS associations and other organisations together.

    The ERTICO Partners and our dedicated team of highly skilled professionals work on a portfolio of activities to accelerate the development and deployment of ITS across Europe and beyond.

    In the past, ERTICO has played a leading role in advancing:

    -TMC standards;
    -an open framework for telematics services;
    -next generations of preventive safety systems;
    -next generation of digital maps & associated applications, 5G;
    -the technical framework for interoperable tolling in Europe;
    -global implementation of ITS together with ITS America
    and ITS Japan.

    ERTICO is involved in several EC projects. we have selected here some of them:
    5GMOBIX is a EC project will match the benefits of 5Gtechnology with advanced CCAM use cases to enable innovative,automated driving applications with high automation levels.
    FAME:GA 101069898 : Establish a European framework for testing on public road, enable evaluations with common methodology, engage an active community of stakeholders across the complex cross-sectorial value chain, and capitalize on shared knowledge, to improve cooperation, consensus building and data sharing for CCAM testing and large-scale demonstration activities in Europe).
    Fenix GA 28121452 (FENIX has been developing the first European federated architecture for data sharing, serving the logistics community of shippers, logistics service providers, mobility infrastructure providers, cities, and authorities to offer interoperability between existing and future individual platforms. The project has 11 pilot sites in nine European countries and builds on work done under the AEOLIX Living Lab).
    5G-LOGINNOV : GA957400 will focus on seven 5G-PPP Thematics and support to the emergence of a European offer for new 5G core technologies in 11 families of use cases. 5G-LOGINNOV main aim is to design and innovative framework addressing integration and validation of CAD/CAM technologies related to the industry 4.0 and ports domains by creating new opportunities for LOGistics value chain INNOVation. 5G-LOGINNOV is supported by 5G technological blocks, including new generation of 5G terminals notably for future Connected and Automated Mobility, new types of Internet of Things 5G devices, data analytics, next generation traffic management and emerging 5G networks, for city ports to handle upcoming and future capacity, traffic, efficiency and environmental challenges.
