    Goals / Remit

    ECI seeks to address the issue of growing antisemitism and anti-Zionism in Europe and inform members of European Parliament and other political leaders in Brussels and other European capitals about the complex realities of the conflict in the Middle East by acknowledging the right for Israel to exist within secure borders.

    Communication activities

    In 2017 ECI hosted two major conferences in the European Parliament, in March ECI hosted its annual policy conference in the European Parliament on the topic of Jerusalem, cooperation or separation. In June ECI hosted a screening of a documentary on the 1967 war in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem. In December ECI co-hosted a large seminar on the Balfour Declaration together with the ECPM (European Christian Political Movement). ECI is part of the European Parliament working group on anti-Semitism.
    After the pandemic ECI has resumed its recorded talk shows from the studio of the European Parliament about relevant topics regarding the Middle East together with Members of the European Parliament. ECI continues to arrange briefing sessions in the European Parliament. In November 2022 ECI hosted Dr Jacques Gauthier who lectured on the status of Jerusalem under international law. In 2023 ECI hosted a conference in the European Parliament on "Europe and the Abraham Accords - expanding the circle of peace".
