World Obesity Federation represents professional members of the scientific, medical and research communities from over 50 regional and national obesity associations. Through our membership we create a global community of organisations dedicated to solving the problems of obesity. Relevant activities include:
- Development of a policy repository of evidence on different policy areas/priorities in the format of policy dossiers. As of December 2021, 11 policy dossiers were available (https://www.worldobesity.org/resources/policy-dossiers)
- Conduct policy laboratories to support the launch of the dossiers, as well as release briefing papers on the different topics
- Development of SCOPE modules: in 2020, a new learning path with six modules was launched, and in 2021 additional new modules for health care professionals were added to the platform
- Maintenance and growth of our data website, including a re-launch of the website, accessible at https://data.worldobesity.org/
- Organisation of World Obesity Day (March 4th)
- Participation in different international congresses as part of CO-CREATE and STOP (Horizon 2020 projects)
- Organisation of high-level workshops and symposiums to showcase the progress of EU projects
- Publication of a special Supplement in Obesity Reviews as part of the STOP project to showcase the latest project's findings
