    For more than 80 years, the VELUX group has created better indoor environments using daylight and fresh air through the roof for the benefit of people's health and well-being. We offer a range of products including roof windows and modular skylights, decorative blinds, sun screening products, and roller shutters, as well as installation and smart home solutions. They help create bright, healthy, and energy-efficient places for people who live, work, learn, and play under the roof. We work globally – with sales and manufacturing operations in 37 countries and around 11,700 employees worldwide. As part of our Sustainability Strategy, we are committed to reducing our operational (scope 1 and 2) emissions by 100% and halving our value chain (scope 3) emissions by 2030. The VELUX Group is owned by VKR Holding A/S, a limited company wholly owned by non-profit, charitable foundations (THE VELUX FOUNDATIONS) and family.

    The VELUX Group is monitoring and following EU legislation linked to the construction and buildings sector. These include among others the implementation of the European Green Deal with the Fit for 55 revision (particularly the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive and Energy Efficiency Directive) as well as the revision of the Construction Products Regulation. We also follow broader EU policies linked to legislation on resource efficiency, circular economy and eco-design, sustainability/climate, standardisation, innovation, digital single market, competitiveness, health, etc.
