Established in 1963 with a founding ethos of interdisciplinarity, the University of East Anglia (UEA) comprises four Faculties (Science, Medicine & Health Sciences, Social Sciences, and Arts & Humanities). It has over 17,500 students of which more than 5,250 are postgraduate students.
It is based on the Norwich Research Park, a world-leading centre for research into the environment and climate change, health and plant science, food and health, and international development.

UNIVERSITIES POLICY ENGAGEMENT NETWORK (UPEN)
UPEN is a community of 110 UK universities and knowledge brokers (including the University of East Anglia (UEA)) that works to increase the impact of academic research on government policy. It is a voluntary-led network and provides a one stop shop for universities and policy organisations to access opportunities to strengthen evidence-informed policy making. UEA contributes to UPEN by way of a £2,000 donation per annum and has done so for the past three years.

Founded in 1989, the British Centre for Literary Translation (BCLT) - https://www.uea.ac.uk/groups-and-centres/british-centre-for-literary-translation - is a research centre based within the School of Literature, Drama and Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia. The Centre serves as the focus for literary translation research not only within the School but beyond, and hosts regular research events such as research seminars, book launch symposia and more substantial conferences. It also partners with other research organisations across the UK and overseas on research projects.
