TOBACCO AND NICOTINE PRODUCTS CHEMICALS GROUP

As per its Charter, the goals of the TNPC are twofold. First, this is to develop a common and agreed understanding of the EU and global chemicals legislation and technical regulations that are relevant for cigarettes, heated tobacco products, oral and other tobacco products, vapour products and other nicotine based products. Second, the TNPC defends the legitimate interests of the TNPC members in terms of compliance with the legislation in the scope of its mandate. The TNPC members act in full compliance with the EU competition law.

To attain those goals, the TNPC monitors the development and implementation of the legislation in the scope of its mandate, and regularly updates its members of any relevant events, discussions, papers, guidance, proposed or adopted legislations. The TNPC attends public discussions and conferences, and contributes to public consultations to share with the authorities the experience of its members. TNPC also engages into the drafting of position papers.
