Goals / Remit
“The Smile of the Child” is the largest internationally recognized non-profit, Non-Governmental Organization in Greece in the critical field of child protection, search and rescue of missing children, support of children and families with children in need, as well as free public health service for children, both in prevention, intervention and treatment. The Organization was founded by a 10-year-old boy, Andreas Yannopoulos, before he succumbed to brain cancer in late 1995. His father Costas Yannopoulos, President of the Board of Directors, inspired by the wish of well-being for all children in the world, expressed by his son, has gradually led TSOC to what it is today: in more than 28 years of action it has made a difference for more than 2 million children and their families in Greece. TSOTC implements nationwide, 365 days/year, 24hrs/day, direct and effective actions to prevent phenomena threatening children and provide free services to every child & family in Greece.

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.
1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
