    Goals / Remit

    IIEA Brussels is a politically neutral organization which will conduct the following activities:
    • Provide its members with analysis and outlooks of the challenges on the global and EU policy agendas which impact on Ireland and on Irish interests in Europe.
    • Disseminate the research and activities of the Institute in Dublin.
    • Act as a listening post and advocate for activities of the Institute in Dublin.
    • Provide a unique Irish forum in Brussels for networking.
    • Organise events appropriate to its resources. These may include: Breakfast briefings, Keynote Speeches; Roundtable Discussions; Dinners; Seminars; Luncheons; Panel Discussions; Gala Events; and Workshops.

    Main EU files targeted

    Priority for the moment are the 1) Brexit and the implications for Ireland, 2) climate/energy 2030 objectives. 3) The Energy Union and 4) Agriculture. In addition regular reporting on developments in the domains of: Foreign affairs, environment, transport, Euro zone and research and technology.
