Goals / Remit
After acquiring the Ineos Styrenics business, Synthos S.A. has become the largest producer of expandable polystyrene (EPS) in Europe and one of the largest producers of this raw material in the world.
The EPS produced by Synthos S.A. is sold under the names InSphere and InVento. This set is currently being expanded by the following EPS from Ineos Styrenics: Synthos EPS Silver and Synthos EPS: F/RF - construction types, and MP/RP/B/D - packaging types. The new, combined product portfolio is the most comprehensive offer available to customers in Europe.

EPS may include additives that improve processing or give the obtained foam specific useful properties, such as flame retardants, substances reducing thermal conductivity, reducing water absorption, external lubricants facilitating processing operations, colouring agents, etc.Main EU files targeted

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.
1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
