    Svemin representerar cirka 60 företag med drygt 13 000 anställda inom produktion, prospektering och teknik.
    Svemins uppdrag är att ge medlemsföretagen bästa möjliga konkurrensförutsättningar. Vi bevakar branschens intressen i samband med utvecklingen av policys och lagar i Sverige och inom EU.
    Med kunskap, erfarenhet och långsiktigt engagemang, påverkar och utvecklar vi förutsättningarna för att det svenska gruv- och mineralklustret ska fortsätta vara i världsklass. Skapa mötesplatser för att sprida kunskap, bygga nätverk och dela erfarenheter om branschens olika sakområden. Svemin utvecklar branschgemensamma riktlinjer och vägledningar och medverkar till att forskning och teknikutveckling inom prioriterade områden kommer till stånd.
    Svemins arbete är organiserat inom sju olika kommittéer. Frågorna som SveMin arbetar med är inom områdena; arbetsmiljö, Energi och klimat, kompetensförsörjning, kommunikation, prospektering och markfrågor, yttre miljö samt infrastruktur.
