Goals / Remit
Founded in 1916 as the 'Main Commission for the Standardization of the Netherlands', NEN has grown into an organization with approximately 300 employees, over 500 standards committees and more than 5,000 active committee members.
We act as a facilitator for standardization. NEN does this by bringing together stakeholders on a particular subject and providing it's expertise on standardization. The result is a widely accepted standard that can be implemented within the particular branche. Well known standards are ISO 9001, NEN 1010 and ISO 26000.
We also publishes the national and international standards to make them as widely accepted as possible. Finally we provide training courses and give advice on implementing the standards.Main EU files targeted

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.
1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
