    SIIA is a principal trade association for companies in the business of information. SIIA has a diverse membership including nearly 400 companies reflecting the landscape of digital content providers and users in academic publishing, education technology, and financial information, along with creators of software and platforms used by millions worldwide, and companies specializing in data analytics and information services. SIIA engaged in the United States at the federal and state level as well as in non-U.S. jurisdictions on a range of issues concerning data governance, digital policy, privacy, educational technology matters, artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, competition, cybersecurity, content policy, and intellectual property.

    SIIA has interest in EU digital policy proposals and policies. These include the Digital Markets Act, the Digital Services Act, the Artificial Intelligence Act, the Data Act, the Digital Operational Resilience Act, the General Data Protection Regulation, measures relating to educational technology, and cybersecurity measures. SIIA also has interest in various matters subject to US-EU diplomacy and negotiation, including those covered by the Trade & Technology Council and the Data Privacy Framework.
