    Goals / Remit

    Small Business Standards (SBS) is a European non-profit association under Belgian law (aisbl) created in 2013. SBS was established to represent European SMEs in the standard making process at European and international levels. Moreover, it aims at raising SME awareness about the benefits of standards and at encouraging them to get involved in the standardisation process. SBS members are national and European sectoral and inter-professional associations representing SMEs. The membership is open to all associations matching these criteria.

    Implementation of Regulation (EU) 1025/2012 to ensure representation of SMEs in the European Standardisation System, as stipulated in Annex III of the Regulation.

    Other environmenal sustainability and sector specific legislation relevant for SMEs including relevant standardisation aspects.
