    Goals / Remit

SLOVAK PERFORMING AND MECHANICAL RIGHTS SOCIETY (SOZA), executes international standards on copyright protection in the territory of the Slovak Republic. Legal system valid in Slovakia has been taking international standards over and they are applied through Copyright Act.

SOZA is an independent society with legal subjectivity acting on its own behalf, collecting, managing and distributing royalties to the authors and publishers of musical works belonging to these subjects in compliance with the Copyright Act and relevant executive legal regulations.

    Other financial info

When we sum all staff costs, office expenditure and any other expenses related to interest representation activities regarding the year period it comes under 10000 €. This is due to multiple reasons: 1. There is not a single employee that handles strictly activities covered by the register. 2. The employees that work on them do this only occasionally besides other work duties. 3. Our institution is active and involved almost exclusively in domestic territory (Slovak Republic), our activities outside Slovak Republic are rather on an exceptional basis.
