Goals / Remit
Romanian Investor Relations Association (ARIR) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization that was set-up in November 2018 with the purpose to provide current and potential issuers a platform for the development of Investor Relations (IR) professionals and contribute to the implementation of best practices in investor communication and corporate governance. The founding members of the association are Bucharest Stock Exchange, Romanian listed companies, those with potential to become listed companies, fund managers and Investor Relations (IR) professionals.
Main EU files targeted
All EU initiatives related to capital markets, financial and non-financial reporting of listed companies, investor relations and communications, access to capital for SMEs with implications in Romania/ Central European region represent areas of interest for ARIR.
Specifically, ARIR follows the following EU initiatives and their implications for listed companies: Capital Markets Union; Electronic Single Electronic Format Reporting; MIFID II;Shareholders Rights Directive II.Address

-Introduced in COR (Classification of Occupations in Romania) two new occupations: Investor Relations Specialist and Investor Relations Director
-Published a guideline, a set of best practices recommendations for implementing the remuneration policy
-Organized annual AR&IR Forums, the largest educational forum on investor relations and communication with main stakeholders.
