Goals / Remit
Promote Ukraine is a Belgian non-profit organization that operates for the benefit of the civil society of Ukraine. Its primary task is to promote Ukraine and Ukrainians to foreign audiences. Thus it initiates and supports promotional and analytical events. Since the full-scale invasion, Promote Ukraine has served as a hub and facilitator for civil society, activists, Ukrainians who fled the war and Ukrainians who fought the war. Promote Ukraine gave a platform for more than 150 volunteers to organise an information flow between the people who want to provide help and people who seek help. In March 2022, Promote Ukraine was given the premises of the European Parliament's Station Europe to be able to communicate Ukrainian resistance and European support initiatives. Promote Ukraine is European Citizen's Prize Awardee 2022.

We are a volunteering organisation operating on donations. Our main donors for structural work have been King Baudouin Foundation, Partenamut and Promote Freedom Foundation. All other donors for humanitarian assistance are small: private people, companies, and organisations. Till 2022 we had not had any big donations, grants or subsidies.

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.
1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
