    Goals / Remit

PostNL is the dutch postal incumbent. The focus of PostNL is on mail, parcels and e-commerce in the Netherlands and Belgium.

The choice to focus on these areas is a logical consequence of our activities. The number of goods ordered online is growing all the time, which means we are delivering more and more parcels, in the domestic as well as the international market. Mail, in the form of direct marketing or printed advertising material, is an important catalyst for e-commerce.

PostNL is also providing direct support for e-commerce; for example by managing the complete logistics process for online retailers.

We see ourselves as providing the missing link between the physical and the online world.

PostNL provides the postal universal service in The Netherlands. The company is 100% privatised. The shares are traded on the Amsterdam stock exchange (AMX).

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.

1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
