    During this new financial year Amazon became a direct client of Policy Impact Partners. The coalition of companies work collectively on EU policy initiatives and Policy Impact Partners supports the work of the whole group but does not receive direct contracts or funding from all companies that are actively involved in the efforts. So for example if a Policy Impact Partners led consultation response refers to a list of companies, Policy Impact Partners may not have a direct contract with all of those companies but is supporting the combined industry co-ordinated response

    Communication activities

    Policy Impact Partners supports a group of US based companies to advocate for more licence-exempt radio spectrum to be made available for WAS/RLANs. The companies directly funding this Policy Impact Partners to do this work include Meta, Apple, HPE and Broadcom. The Dynamic Spectrum Alliance and RKF Engineering also provides funding to Policy Impact Partners in support of this work .Other companies involved in this effort but not directly contracting with Policy Impact Partners and therefore not a client are: Amazon, Cisco. Intel and Qualcomm. Sometimes the work involves organising and attending meetings with EU based regulators and national ministries to discuss EU policy and regulatory initiatives, the European Commission (DG CNECT), BEREC, and taking part in working groups of the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations Administrations (CEPT) meetings (PT1, SE45, FM60, FM61 and CPG) responding to public consultations, knowledge sharing, running workshops, attending events and monitoring regulatory developments.

    In the most recent financial year we have:
    - Taken part in the BEREC Stakeholder Forum (April 2024)
    - Drafted and submitted a multi-company response on behalf of the industry coalition to the BEREC request for inputs on its Work Programme for 2025 (please note not all listed companies on the response are direct clients of Policy Impact Partners but are part of the campaign we support)
    - Drafted and submitted a 3rd party response to the Draft Mandate to the CEPT on the Upper 6 GHz band'
    - Taken part in the CEPT working groups SE45,PT1, FM 60 as technical and regulatory experts
    - Drafted a note that raised concerns about the Letter report 'Much more than a Market' and sent to EU Officials as part of more general outreach
    Attended the Forum Europe, EU Spectrum Management Conference and supported industry
    - Drafted and submitted a multi company response to the EU consultation: The development of 6G and possible implications for spectrum needs and guidance on the rollout of future wireless broadband networks' (August 2023)
    - Shared relevant information on Wi-Fi developments as it may benefit the EU
