Goals / Remit
Open Knowledge Foundation is a global non-profit organisation advocating for the openness of all forms of knowledge to secure a fair, free and open future.
We want to create a more open world where all non-personal information is open, free for everyone to use, build on and share; and creators and innovators are fairly recognised and rewarded.
For over a decade, we have pioneered openness and data literacy in new areas using technology, training, policy advice and research.
We pursue this mission in the following ways:
• People - Supporting people and organisations to create a free, fair and open future
• Places - Extend our global reach into new geographies and industries, in particular, health, education and work
• Policies - Having policies and procedures that support our vision and make us fit for purpose
• Partnerships - Working in partnership with others who can help us achieve our vision, and secure funding partnerships that enable us to be sustainableMain EU files targeted

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.
1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
