Goals / Remit
We are a global leader in facilitating trade. Our platforms and brands are intermediaries that facilitate trade across a wide range of categories of products and services including secondhand goods and vehicles, while helping people get the most of their time and budgets when finding a place to live, getting hired for their skills, or finding a local service provider. Our mission is to make the most of what already exists in the world. We know by now that the world’s current system of consumption is not sustainable. To disrupt the current linear system of take-make-dispose we want to shift as many people as possible to a more sustainable (circular) way of consumption.
Main EU files targeted
We follow these policies: Green Agenda, Consumer protection, Competition, Taxation, Privacy, Digital, Trade, Circular economy. In this context, we plan to meet with Commission officials, and Members and officials of the European Parliament to explain what we do (for example to keep illegal content off our platforms) and what we believe the best policy approach is for the EU.

Meetings
5 meetings found. Download meetings
The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.
1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
