    Goals / Remit

    The Mittelstandsverband abfallbasierter Kraftstoffe e.V. (Waste-based Fuels Association) represents companies and organisations that convert suitable wastes and residues into waste-based or advanced biofuels, or that trade with those commodities and products, towards representatives out of the fields of politics, media and the general public. Accordingly, the Waste-based Fuels Association acts as a contact point and operates internationally in the process of representing the interests of its members. Among others, the Waste-based Fuels Association sees it as its task to make a significant contribution to the safe collection and utilization of plant-based wastes via taking appropriate measures among its members.

    A further task is the communication of the major advantages of the production of fuels out of waste to the general public:

    - no competition to food and feed stuffs
    - significantly reduced greenhouse-gas emissions
    - protection of the existing natural ecosystems
