METRO AG is a leading international player in wholesale and food service distribution. With its sales lines METRO Cash & Carry as well as its other associated companies, METRO AG is present in over 30 countries and employs more than 91,000 people around the world. In 2022/23, METRO AG achieved sales of around €30.5 billion (Adjusted EBITDA €1.1 billion). The company provides solutions to meet the regional and international needs of its customers, mainly independent businesses in the hospitality sector and small traders. Contribution to EU discussions is given mainly via associations, as well as via direct input to the work of the European Parliament's Committees, Commission's consultations, etc.
