Menschen für Tierrechte – Bundesverband der Tierversuchsgegner e.V. (People for animal rights Germany) is a German animal rights organization, which was founded in 1982. The non-profit association is committed to the recognition of elementary animal rights on a political, scientific and social level and fights against all abuse of animals. We are committed to the introduction of a master plan to phase out animal testing and an agricultural transition from animal to vegetable protein production. In addition, the association appoints, for example, the "Laboratory Animal of the Year" and operates the science platform InVitro+Jobs for animal-free research methods. Four times a year the association publishes the magazine “animalrights”, which informs journalists, scientists, politicians, authorities and association members about current developments.
