- sent numerous letters and statements to EU Commission regarding the situation and ongoing reforms in candidate countries where MEDEL has members (Serbia, Montenegro, Moldova and Turkey), denouncing attacks against the independence of the Judiciary;
- participated in events organised by the EU Commission (Assises de la Justice, november 2013) or the Finnish Presidency of the Council of the EU (conference "How to Ensure the Resilience of Our Societies in a Changing European Landscape – the Interaction between Democracy, the Rule of Law and Fundamental Rights", 10–11 September, Helsinki, Finland);
