    Goals / Remit

At Lightsource bp, our purpose is to deliver affordable and sustainable solar power for businesses and communities around the world
We do this by building responsible and sustainable solar projects for businesses and local communities. Our mission is to make solar energy the natural choice by expanding access to reliable low-carbon energy, making solar power even more affordable, and raising awareness of its benefits.
As we grow, we will continue to minimise waste, decarbonize across the business, protect ecosystems and improve biodiversity. Our objective is to operate as a fair and open business, supporting local communities and promoting decent and meaningful work across our extended supply chain
As a large but agile organisation, we have the ability to evolve quickly in our rapidly changing world to keep delivering low-cost, reliable solutions to our global customers, while responding to the climate crisis with the urgency and attention it demands.

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.

1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
