    Goals / Remit

    Die Leuphana Universität Lüneburg entstand aus dem besonderen gesetzlichen Auftrag des niedersächsischen Landtags, Universität neu zu denken und eine Modelluniversität für den Bologna-Prozess zu schaffen. Sie wird getragen von einer Stiftung öffentlichen Rechts und versteht sich als Ort für freien Erkenntnisdrang, Einfallsreichtum, Persönlichkeitsentwicklung und gesellschaftliches Engagement. Für das Studium hat sie ein vielfach ausgezeichnetes Studienmodell mit drei Schools entwickelt, das bis heute in Deutschland einzigartig ist. Fünf Fakultäten sind Träger von transdisziplinären Wissenschaftsinitiativen, den Forschungsschwerpunkten der Leuphana in den Bereichen Bildung, Kultur, Nachhaltigkeit, Staat sowie Management und Technologie.
