    INEOS is a global chemical company. Our products touch every aspect of modern day life.
    INEOS comprises many businesses with ca 200 sites in 30 countries throughout the world, covering chemical and oil & gas industries, together with a number of consumer brands and sports interests.
    Our chemical businesses are combined into larger financial groups; businesses include O&P EU/US, Oligomers, Oxide, Nitriles, Phenol, Styrolution, INOVYN, Aromatics, Acetyls, Enterprises, and more. We also operate a number of energy businesses in the North Sea, together with the Forties Pipeline System; and INEOS takes also part in a number of joint ventures.

    INEOS mainly works through its associations at European and member state level.
    Climate, energy and sustainability policy related initiatives are continuously followed at INEOS. This concerns inter alia relevant EU legislation, roadmaps, impact assessments and responses to consultations regarding emissions, energy, water, waste, resources, products, pollution, plastics, etc., next to reporting obligations and standards; all framed by the European 2030/40/50 strategies and the recent ESG framework. The latter includes core areas for the chemical industry, such as SHE and REACH, next to social responsibilities (workforce, compliance, due diligence, etc.) and ESG governance. This is in addition to any policy with impact on chemical industry strategies, competitiveness and global level playing fields.

    Communication activities

    INEOS hosted a DG CLIMA (B2 unit) site visit in December 2023 to discuss ETS and CBAM issues. Likewise INEOS engaged with DG FISMA and EFRAG to discuss the implementation of the CSRD.
    INEOS also participated in the Antwerp summit in February 2024 to discuss industrial competitiveness, and issued an open letter to the commission president following the meeting.
