The focus of Herbalife’s government affairs work with the EU institutions is legislation and regulation affecting Herbalife products or its distribution channel. As a leading global nutrition company, Herbalife offers its scientific, technical and regulatory affairs experience in weight management, dietary supplementation, and energy, fitness and sports nutrition to both industry and regulators as a contribution to the development of effective nutrition policy.
Herbalife also represents the interests of a network of hundreds of thousands of Europeans engaged in what can best be described as micro-enterprise, an engine of economic growth in the European Union. These independent distributors of Herbalife products are sometimes adversely affected by a lack of harmonisation of consumer information and consumer protection rules. Herbalife works with the European institutions and other stakeholders to effectively communicate the superior level of personal service, unrivalled product guarantees and excellent record of consumer protection offered by these individuals, as we seek to help them build their businesses.- Meetings

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.
1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
