Goals / Remit
Heathrow Airport Holdings Limited (HAL) owns and runs Heathrow Airport, the UK's aviation hub and largest port by value. HAL ensures the smooth and safe operation and running of the airport.
Main EU files targeted
Our activities are based on EU initiatives and policies that would affect the operation of the airport. These are primarily general aviation policy concerns, for example SESAR policy and deployment, sustainability, slot regulation, and airspace policy e.g. EU Directive 598.
This can also concern other policy areas e.g. Brexit, Sustainable Aviation Fuels, Decarbonisation, Security, Borders and Trade.
Engagement on these matters may involve EU organisations including, but not limited to: European Parliament, Commission, Taskforce 50, DG Move, trade associations, businesses operating in the EU and others.Address

Other financial info
We received € 3,538,855.02 for AOP Phase 2, ASMGCS and MILATs capital grant around 5th August 2021.
We also received € 8,369.65 for AOP-NOP Integration, received around 21st May 2021.
The figure for 2020/21 only covers these grants received in the organisation's most recently closed financial year. This accounts for our full Capital grants, and is a more accurate and reflective total of all of our grants.
We have also received Euro Control funding via separate workstreams. In the past, w have received multi-beneficiary grants, with a grant also managed by the R&D SESAR team (Euro Control and SESAR Deployment Alliance). Projects include AMAN / DMAN and Tactical DCB. We are happy to provide further information on these where appropriate.
We are reviewing the latest round of funding and grants and will update our register accordingly.

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.
1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
