    Goals / Remit

GSK is a global biopharmaceutical company with the purpose to unite science, technology, and talent to get ahead of disease together. We aim to positively impact the health of 2.5 billion people over the next 10 years. Our bold ambitions for patients are reflected in new commitments to growth and a step-change in performance. We are a company where outstanding people can thrive. We prioritise innovation in vaccines and specialty medicines, maximising the increasing opportunities to prevent and treat disease. At the heart of this is our R&D focus on the science of the immune system, human genetics and advanced technologies, and our world-leading capabilities in vaccines and medicines development. We will focus on four therapeutic areas: infectious diseases, HIV, oncology, and immunology. Our scale and strong R&D and manufacturing footprint in the EU give us a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of people in the region.

    Complementary Information

Our Brussels office has five representatives, three of which focus on EU affairs and two whose work focuses on trade associations and initiatives within the EU Member States. The remaining colleagues are involved in very limited EU activities and spend less than 25% of their time on in-scope activities; as per the guidance under the Inter-Institutional Agreement of 2021 we have included these individuals. GSK also follows the guidelines provided by EFPIA regarding this registration.

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.

1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
