    GlobalFoundries (GF) is a global semiconductor manufacturer with 15,000 employees worldwide and over 250 customers. We develop process technologies for our customers around the world, helping them to develop the complex and comprehensive building blocks of technologies that are critical to how our world lives, works and evolves.
    Our Dresden Fab 1 site is the largest semiconductor plant in Europe, with state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies. More than 3,200 employees from around 47 nations work on the company campus. Through its commitment to research and development, GF has helped to establish the Free State of Saxony as a leading micro- and nanoelectronics centre in Europe. GlobalFoundries participates in government-funded European projects to strengthen the semiconductor industry (Important Projects of Common European Interest = IPCEI). GF actively participates in public consultations and expert panels, congresses and round tables organised by associations.
