Goals / Remit
FNADE is the French association representing the entire waste industry value chain. As a key player in the circular economy, the waste industry produces recycled materials, fertilisers, and green energy to replace natural resources and fossil energies. It provides solutions to major environmental and climate challenges.
FNADE in figures: 257 private member companies, 44,536 employees in France, 11.4 billion euros in turnover and 800 million euros in investments. It is a member of the European Waste Management Association (FEAD).
With its 8 professional unions, it gathers all the actors and activities of waste management and soil remediation: collection, transport, sorting, pre-treatment, recycling, organic and energy recovery, disposal of all types of waste (non-hazardous and hazardous waste, sewage, soil), except for radioactive waste.
These steps are conducted in line with the European waste hierarchy that sets a framework for waste management to minimise impact on the environment.Main EU files targeted

FNADE is a member of FEAD: http://www.fead.be/
FEAD is the European Waste Management Association that represents the private waste management and resource industry across Europe. Our members are national waste management associations covering 19 countries in Europe, including Norway and the UK. They represent about 3,000 companies with activities in all forms of waste management. Our companies have an approximate 60% share in the household waste market and handle more than 75% of industrial and commercial waste in Europe. Their combined annual turnover is approximately € 75 billion. These companies employ over 320,000 people who operate around 2,400 recycling and sorting centres, 1,100 composting sites, 260 waste-to-energy plants and 900 controlled landfills.Member organisations

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.
1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
