Goals / Remit
The Champalimaud Foundation was established in 2005, following the will of António de Sommer Champalimaud, that left part of his fortune to create an international project in the field of Biomedicine.
The mission of the Champalimaud Foundation is to develop programmes of advanced biomedical research and provide clinical care of excellence, with a focus on translating pioneering scientific discoveries into solutions which can improve the quality of life of individuals around the world. This is done with independence, rigour, dedication, creativity and with a commitment to meet the highest ethical and scientific standards. By its actions the Foundation strives to be a world leader in scientific and technological innovation with the ultimate objective of preventing, diagnosing and treating disease. In so doing, the Foundation is guided by the constant challenge of finding new solutions to humanity’s most pressing health problems.Main EU files targeted

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.
1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
