Goals / Remit
The FTTH Council Europe is an industry association with a mission to advance ubiquitous full fibre-based connectivity to the whole of Europe.
Our vision is that fibre connectivity will transform and enhance the way we live, do business and interact, connecting everyone and everything, everywhere.Main EU files targeted
The FTTH Council Europe is directing its influencing efforts towards shaping EU policies on connectivity, with a primary focus on harmonizing regulations to facilitate expansion of VHCN. These endeavours are in alignment with the Digital Decade connectivity objectives, which aim that European households attain high-speed internet coverage by 2025 and gigabit connectivity by 2030. Given the direct correlation between these ambitious EU goals and the mission of the FTTH Council Europe, the organization is monitoring all policy initiatives in this realm, such as the Gigabit Infrastructure Act and the Digital Networks Act.
