    Goals / Remit

The Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS) is the think tank of the progressive political family at EU level. Our mission is to develop innovative research, policy advice, training and debates to inspire and inform socialist and social democratic politics and policies across Europe.

FEPS works in close partnership with a network of member organisations, boosting coherence among stakeholders from the world of politics, academia and civil society at local, regional, national, European and global levels. More

    Main EU files targeted

As a legally recognised EUropean Political Foundation (EUPF), affiliated to a EUropean Political Party (EUPP), FEPS is active in all EU policy areas.

Its mission, legally defined by EU Regulation 1141/2014 Article 2 is 3-fold:
    - observe, analyse and contribute to the debate on European public policy issues and the process of European Integration
    - develop activities linked to European public policy issues
    - serve as a framework for national political foundations, academics and other relevant actors to work together at European level

    Communication activities

In line with its legally defined missions, FEPS endeavors to proactively communicate on all EU policy areas covered by its activities.

It regularly organises events and issues several dozens of publications of different nature (e.g. books, policy studies, policy briefs) every year. These are, amongst other, publicly accessible on FEPS' website: https://feps-europe.eu/publication/

FEPS also edits a magasine - "The Progressive Post" - in print (3-4 editions per year) as well as online via a dedicated website: https://feps-europe.eu/progressive-post/

When it comes electoral campaigning, like all EUPFs, FEPS is legally forbidden to fund, directly or indirectly, European or national political parties or candidates (EU Regulation 1141/2014, Article 22).

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.

1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
