Energy & Tubomachinery Network (ETN Global) is a non-profit membership association bringing together the entire value chain of turbomachinery technology, representing over 135 members worldwide. ETN Global map out pathways for safe, secure and dispatchable carbon-neutral energy solutions and foster cooperation and information exchange among all stakeholders. In technical committees and working groups, experts from the whole value chain, including power generation and industrial users, manufacturers, suppliers, service providers, the research community (universities and research institutes) and consultancies, comes together to encourage and facilitate information exchange about low carbon and carbon-neutral solutions.
Through cooperative efforts and by initiating common activities and projects, ETN Global accelerates research, development and demonstration of sustainable, safe and affordable energy & heat solutions.Main EU files targeted
ETN Global follows, advocates and provides input in relation to energy policy developments (2030 and 2050 goals), climate and environment policy, research policy, in particular the industrial emissions directive, energy efficiency policies, Horizon Europe framework programmes, EU taxonomy, EU emissions trading and carbon capture and storage dossiers, REPowerEU.
ETN Global monitors the SET Plan Action 5: Energy efficiency solutions for buildings, SET Plan Action 6: Energy efficiency in industry and SET Plan Action 9: Carbon cature utilisation and storage platforms, ETIP SNET platform, ETIP Renewable Heating and Cooling Platfrom and ZERO Emmissions Platform and attends regular advisory meetings at those platforms, as well as regular meetings in the European Parliament, and follows the conferences organised by the European Commission on energy, research, climate and environmental initiatives and policies.Address

Communication activities
- On 15 May 2023 ETN Global , together with other 21 European Net Zero Alliance (ENZA) member organisations, submitted a joint position paper on EC’s Net Zero Industry Act (NZIA).The paper emphasised the importance of producing competitive clean energy technologies within the EU to achieve climate targets, enhance energy security, and ensure a cost-efficient transition for industries and consumers.
- On 25 October, ETN Global together with 46 European Net Zero Alliance (ENZA) member organisations, united to address the Gas Regulation trilogue, urging the establishment of a binding EU target for biomethane within the Hydrogen & Gas Package. A joint letter has been formally sent to Permanent Representatives Committee, European Parliament and the European Commission.
- On 15 December ETN Global submitted our contribution to EU Taxonomy via a stakeholder request mechanism urging the EC to include Waste Heat to Power (WH2P) activities under EU Taxonomy.Other activities
